After choosing not to exercise the option of a third and final year of his contract with the Loftus Versfeld Stadium-based team, Springbok star Willie Le Roux is expected to depart the Bulls at the end of the current campaign.
Last week, Fissler Confidential revealed that the two-time World Cup champion had been observed in Bath, where Johann van Graan is trying to bolster his Premiership title-chasing team with a well-known full-back. Le Roux, 35, had a stint in the Premiership with Wasps, and his exit from the Bulls would be one less thing to stop him from likely concluding his illustrious playing career in the Roman spa city.
When Thomas Young’s contract with Cardiff Rugby expires at the end of the current campaign, Gloucester is rumored to be one of the Premiership teams interested in wooing him away from Cardiff. The 32-year-old Young, who was born in Merthyr Tydfil, joined the Cherry and Whites on a temporary contract from Cardiff in 2014 and played three games before joining his father, former Wales international Dai, at Wasps. Four-cap player Youngs hasn’t played for Wales since rejoining the Blue & Black, and his move to the Premiership would put an end to any remaining aspirations to play for his country.
