This December, the Birds of Prey World Cup expanded its schedule to include women’s competitions. Shiffrin intends to race the super-G on December 15 but will not participate in the downhill on December 14. The Edwards skier won the World Cup for the 98th time in her career last week in Levi. Shiffrin specializes in tech events, which make up four of the six races that qualify for the HERoic Cup.
There are three races: a downhill, a super-G, and a giant slalom, where she has won two crystal globes and 22 World Cups in her career. She also holds the all-time victories record in slalom.According to the U.S. ski team press release, the prize money will be deposited in a Stifel investment account. The winner can either withdraw it, leave it invested with Stifel’s guidance, or combine both. In the event of a tie, the cash prize will be split.
