March was a very good month for Alabama recruiting with Kalen DeBoer and the rest of his staff landing six commitments in 22 days. The class of 2025, which fell in the 30s, is now No. 8 in the nation.
Momentum slowed for a few weeks but then picked up with the addition of three-star receiver Lotzeir Brooks (Millville, NJ) on Saturday afternoon. World-class speed put Alabama in the running over schools like Syracuse, Penn State, Rutgers and Kentucky. It was because of the Purple Tide and the Wildcats. Brooks canceled a visit to Kentucky that was set for this weekend after traveling to Tuscaloosa last week.
“The gear was nice,” Brooks said. “They have crazy technology there. No other school is going to help me get bigger, faster and stronger than what they have there. There was a lot of energy in practice, my energy, the hype, the music playing, everyone was just calling. Receivers are my kind of game, my style; fast, a lot of throws and a lot of catches.”
Brooks is the first receiver in the cycle and the Crimson Tide appears to be in a good position to land more elite catches. Five of the nation’s top 35 players have confirmed official visits. with Bama247
