Celtics defeat the Heat and troll Udonis Haslem.

On January 25, the Boston Celtics crushed the Miami Heat, winning 143-110.
Following the Celtics’ victory, a GIF of Celtics legend Bill Russell giggling at a Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony was shared by the team’s official X account.
This was a not-so-subtle jab at Udonis Haslem, the former Heat player, for some of his previous remarks on Russell.
They have the number ‘6’ in our rafters, and he fucks Bill Russell at the end of his pregame address.
On the December 26, 2023 episode of “The OGs,” Haslem stated, “I said, bro, this man is dead, OG.
Please let me know when you plan to see a Miami Heat jersey displayed in Boston.”
Haslem maintained his admiration for Russell while also questioning Miami’s decision to retire his jersey.
“I had to own up to that.” Haslem declared, “I adore Bill.”
“With all due respect to Bill. I adore Bill; he just happened to catch that stray.
I adore and admire Bill Russell, but why the f*** does he still have to be here?
The s*** that was said to us by those people when we were playing there?
“Now that I think about it, the s*** they said to us, I might not take back what I said.”
Because of Russell’s contribution to the civil rights movement and his legacy as a basketball player, the NBA as a whole retired his jersey.
Udonis Haslem Apologizes for Bill Russell Comments
Udonis Haslem apologized to his family and acknowledged Bill Russell’s legacy as a player
and a person after receiving condemnation for his remarks against the basketball player.
On the January 16 episode of “The OGs,” Haslem said, “Let me talk on this one time.
First off, I recognize the contributions Bill Russell has made to the black community.
Beyond simply basketball, he has done so much for us as Black men to help us advance in life.
I regard you highly. I also like what he’s accomplished on the basketball floor.
As a champion, victory is what I stand for. I would apologize to Bill Russell’s family above all others.
Haslem went into more detail about the apology he intended to send Russell’s family.
“As a man, I apologize if I came off wrong. I got a lot of love and respect for Bill Russell
so I apologize to his family for anything that may have come across as insensitive in the heat of the moment,” Haslem added.
Even though Haslem expressed his abhorrence of the Celtics fan base, it was evident that he realized his remarks on Russell were excessive.
Celtics Troll ‘Heat Culture’ After Win
The Celtics made fun of many people than only Udonis Haslem following their victory.
After the victory, the Celtics X account also made a less-than-subtle jab at the Heat.
“Good win for the culture,” they tweeted in response to the victory, along with a photo of Jayson Tatum.
This is an attempt to challenge “Heat culture,” which has gained a lot of traction in recent years. Jokes aside,
the Heat have performed well in the previous few seasons. Unexpectedly, they advanced to the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023.
In the same postseason span, the Heat have defeated the Celtics twice, despite the latter team blowing them out.
