The Baltimore Ravens’ Derrick Henry has been outstanding in 2024. By joining their team, he received a significant RB upgrade, and they also received a significant supporting cast upgrade. Henry has the chance to do something that no other player in NFL history has ever done: have successive seasons with 2000 yards or more of rushing yards. They have one game left on their schedule.
If he pulls it off, his already legendary status is cemented forever, and he’s a lock 1st ballot Hall of Famer. But the work he has left to do to reach the coveted 2k milestone is far from easy.
For Henry to surpass 2000, he must run for 217 yards against the Browns in Week 18. Except for Derrick Henry, that seems like an impossible undertaking, and even for him, it’s a lofty goal. However, when we examine his past at the conclusion of seasons, it appears to be a more achievable objective than one may imagine.
