Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has expressed his concerns about the club’s future ambitions in Europe following the departure of Bruno Guimarães to Real Madrid. Speaking candidly on a sports panel, Shearer, a staunch supporter of the Magpies, did not hold back.
“When Bruno leaves, Newcastle’s dreams of competing in Europe are over,” Shearer stated emphatically. “He was the heartbeat of the team, the one who could dictate games and elevate those around him. Losing him to Real Madrid is a massive blow, and it’s hard to see how the team will fill that void anytime soon.”
