The Boston Bruins are back in the postseason picture after defeating the New York Islanders yesterday.
They currently sit third in the Atlantic Division and moved Tampa Bay into a wild card berth. However, the Lightning are only one point behind the Bruins and have three games left.
Even though they have improved under Joe Sacco, the Boston Bruins still have a long way to go if they hope to qualify for the playoffs this year, whether that means a wildcard spot or not.
Due to the aging of its core, the Bruins are likely to be sellers at the trade deadline if they do not make the playoffs.
