JOHN HIGGINS, MARK SELBY, KYREN WILSON, AND NEIL ROBERTSON IN A FRENTIC BATTLE FOR PROGRESS – CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE SNOOKER

On Monday, the Championship League returned to action at Leicester’s Morningside Arena.
In Group 3, John Higgins, Gary Wilson, Mark Selby, Xiao Gudong, and Kyren Wilson
engaged in a fierce five-way fight for supremacy.
Neil Robertson and Tom Ford lead the section on one point,
but they are still very much in the running to place among the top four and go to the semi-finals on Tuesday night.
John Higgins lost his last two matches of the day in Leicester,
but he finished Monday at the top of Championship League Group 3.
The Scotsman defeated fellow four-time world champion Mark Selby 3-2, taking the lead with a knock of 111 in the opening set.
He then scored breaks of 107 in a victory over Neil Robertson.
Higgins, however, would lose 3-2 to Tom Ford and Xiao Guodong.
Ford had opened the match at the Morningside Arena with a superb 104,
but Ford had closed with a knock of 68. Higgins had lost 5-2 to Judd Trump in the German Masters quarterfinals on Friday.
