According to speculations, Manchester United and Manchester City would compete with one another

in the summer transfer window for Michael Olise of Crystal Palace.

After capturing the attention of both elite teams at Selhurst Park,

midfielder Olise is rumored to be on both short lists and could be ready to make a high-profile move.

Players are setting up an alluring offer because free-spending City see Olise as a key acquisition ahead of the upcoming campaign.

But, United is eager to make the 22-year-old a flagship signing

as they prepare for a busy transfer window under the direction of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

Both teams are anticipated to submit formal offers, and City reportedly hopes that Olise will choose them

because of the opportunity to be a part of Pep Guardiola’s elite team.

Money is not a barrier for City, as a fee of at least £60 million has been suggested.

Olise might be an ideal fit for both United and City, who are both willing to add players,

because of his skill with the ball and his ability to operate from the right flank.

Olise was contacted by Chelsea earlier in the season as well, but they were turned down.

As a result, the attacker made the unexpected decision to commit his future to Palace.

According to the same publication, his thinking will be significantly influenced by game time.

This season, Olise has tallied six goals and three assists.

His contract is claimed to contain a release clause worth an undisclosed sum, and it expires in 2027.

However, he might have to miss a few games due to an unfortunate injury he sustained during Palace’s 4-1 loss to rival Brighton & Hove Albion.

Olise was substituted in at halftime despite being doubtful going into the game

following his forced exit during the 3-2 victory over Sheffield United.

Olise was lost by Palace, who were behind 3-0 at halftime, as a result of his injury getting worse.

But Roy Hodgson, the boss, announced he was good to go with the sensation.

After the game, he told reporters, “I was told he couldn’t start the game and everyone was quite comfortable with that.”

“He told me he was okay to be on the bench and play in the second half,” the medical personnel informed me.

Saying “oh, by the way, I know we’ve brought you all the way here to play, I’ve changed my mind,

you’ll just have to sit on the bench and watch it” is difficult when you have a player of his caliber capable of performing.
