Defensive end Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers sees similarities between Jordan Love, the quarterback he will be attempting to sack the following weekend, and his quarterback, Brock Purdy.
At least in his perspective, they are two parts of a whole.
Naturally, their draft positions couldn’t be more dissimilar. In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Packers traded up to draft Love with the 26th overall pick. In 2022, Purdy was chosen at position 262.
Following his selection, heβdubbed “Mr. Irrelevant”βbecame extremely relevant for San Francisco.
Nevertheless, Bosa kind of characterized his own quarterback when asked what he sees in Love.
“He plays the offense to perfection and is very good at going through his reads. Without a doubt, we must end the run.
We have to stop the run and cover those simple, open people because, as far as I can tell, not many teams have made him uncomfortable,” Bosa stated.
Bosa was informed that his scouting report on Love resembles a defense’s attempt to stop Purdy.
You have a chance to defeat the 49ers if you can stop Christian McCaffrey and their running game and try to obstruct Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle.

“They both seem to read quite smoothly and accurately, in my opinion. Bosa stated of Love, “I’ve seen more from Brock in terms of making plays, but we definitely have to be ready for him.”
Bosa is correct when he says that Love has absolutely understood offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur’s approach, and that is what has made Green Bay so lethal in the second half of the season.
Though he might be mistaken to believe that Love is only a “system quarterback,”
Love ripped the Dallas Cowboys for 272 yards and three touchdowns in the wild-card round, seemingly taking advantage of their error.
