Otto Wallin: I Always Said Fury Would Beat Joshua, But Now I Feel a Little Bit Different

    Otto working on Fury

Otto Wallin, a heavyweight contender, acknowledges that his perspective on a possible matchup between British rivals Anthony Joshua and WBC world champion Tyson Fury has changed.

In 2019, Wallin was defeated by Fury via a passionate twelve-round unanimous decision.

Fury took two serious cuts from legal punches throughout that fight.

Although it was reasonable to fear that a medical professional stationed at the fight site might end it and declare Wallin the winner by technical knockout, the fight was permitted to proceed.

In five rounds of action last month in Saudi Arabia, Joshua knocked out Wallin with strikes.

Wallin was quite sure that Fury would overcome Joshua prior to last month’s loss.

The Swedish fighter now has a somewhat different perspective and is less sure that Fury can win.

“Well, I would say that this fight with Joshua was a lot tougher than the fight I had with Fury,” .

“[What would happen in a fight between Fury and Joshua] is difficult to predict.”

Fury is, in my opinion, an excellent fighter.

can most likely learn it from his previous fight’s actions.

It’s a good battle. Let’s wait and see what transpires with Joshua.

“Given that Ben Davison knows Tyson, he might be onto something truly special. I’m not sure.

Numerous factors are involved. I’ve always predicted that Fury would prevail in that match, but after seeing Joshua in person, I’m not so sure.

I believe it’s challenging to oppose Tyson.

However, following this argument, I’m not sure; I’ve changed my view a little.

On February 17, Fury makes his ring comeback against Oleksandr Usyk, the champion of the IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO, in a high-profile undisputed bout held in Saudi Arabia.
